Bouquet and DIY Kit FAQ's: 

 

How do I get the best out of my flowers?

Our bouquets are sent out dry. Upon arrival they do need a good trim and at least 24 hours in water to fully revive and look beautiful.
 

Do I need to trim my bouquet after receiving?

Trimming your stems by at least 3-5cm allows water inside to hydrate them. Always cut them at an angle to give them as much surface area as possible to drink from! Re-trim them every few days when you refresh your vase water to keep your flowers happy for longer.

Flowers didn’t last as long as you expected?

We guarantee most of our flowers last for 7 days. Some may last longer and with regular stem trims and water changes can last up to 10 days. But you’ll find that other stems naturally don’t last as long and will need taking out of your vase earlier.
Spring blooms such as tulips and peonies are only guaranteed to last 5 days as they have a naturally shorter vase life than our other flowers.

Why does my bouquet look different?

Every stem is unique so sometimes colours vary or we'll need to use a substitution to give you the best bouquet! We try wherever possible to always send something similar and equally as beautiful.

What is the difference between a DIY kit and Bouquet?

The bouquet will be delivered pre arranged in one of our unique bespoke designs, ready to trim and place into a vase. Whereas within the DIY kit you will receive a variety of  flowers (will vary dependant on the kit you have chosen) and instructions as to how to arrange a beautiful bouquet for yourself. Please note when ordering our DIY wreath kit you will be provided with additional wreath equipment as well as foliage and flowers to use for the wreath.

How far do you deliver?

All our bouquets are available to order for delivery across Kent. 

Wedding Flower FAQ's:

 How much do wedding flowers cost?

All weddings are different and our designs are created specifically for each client. We like to meet you to talk through your plans and ideas so that we can give you an accurate estimate.

Do you charge for an initial consultation?

No. Our consultations are free, friendly and fun, packed with advice, pictures and information. Its our 'fact finding' meeting, a chance for us to find out all about your plans and how we can assist you. We invite you to come and see our cutting garden, to see your flowers growing and get a feel for what the designs will look like when brought to life on the day.

What information will you need from us?

We will need the date, time and venue of your wedding. All other information can be gathered along the way. It would be good to know if you have a colour scheme or theme in mind, colour samples are great and any pictures or ideas you may have are useful but not essential. 

Do you have more than one wedding on the same day?

No, we don't take on more than one booking on the same day as we don't want to compromise our high standards of personal and professional service.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes ,we normally ask for a deposit of £250 to secure your date. This is refundable against your final invoice, which is sent to you six weeks prior to the wedding.

How soon should we book a florist?

We recommend early consultations to book us as dates get booked up a year in advance. Plus we have time to plan your flowers as we can grow specifically for your wedding if we have enough notice. You don't need to have every detail in place, decisions about your flowers can be finalised nearer to your wedding date, but it is good to book ahead.

What happens at set up on the wedding day? 

Timings are agreed with you before the day so that we fit in with other suppliers on the day. All venue flowers will be set up a few hours before your wedding so that they are looking perfect for your arrival. Bouquets will be delivered to the bride in plenty of time.

How far do you travel?

Our studio is based in the Elham valley and we work around Kent. Our favourite venues are The Hythe Imperial, The Grand, Lympne Castle,  Westenhanger Castle and The Old Kent Barn. 

Can you do a mock up of my flowers before the big day?

Yes it is certainly possible but we do have to charge for this service as we will need to use flowers. We work especially hard to give you a really good feel for how your flowers will look on the day.  We always produce mood boards after our consultation to ensure that we understand your requirements. Knowing what you want from the flowers on your big day.
